Job summary

Bellevue Public Schools is hiring a Special Education Resource Paraprofessional (BC) at Birchcrest Elementary in Bellevue, Nebraska. The role is 6.5 hours per day, typically 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 7:50 a.m.

to 2:50 p.m., starting immediately. Work under a teacher with duties including supervising students and assisting in the classroom, lunchroom, and during activities. The position requires the ability to lift and assist students, reliable attendance, and eligibility to work.

Qualifications

• Must be able to supervise and assist students in classroom and in small groups.
• Must be able to lift and provide physical assistance as needed.
• Must be able to attend to duties reliably and comply with district policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students one-on-one and in small groups as needed.
• Assist the teacher in daily classroom activities and during lunch/recess.
• Provide physical assistance and toileting support as required.
• Support transportation and recreational activities around the building.
