Taos Municipal School District Taos Middle School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Math Teacher to deliver instruction across diverse settings in Taos, NM. Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification issued by NM PED.
• Demonstrated knowledge for subjects/levels being taught.
• Ability to communicate with parents, students, and staff verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan for student success using assessed needs and data to set goals and monitor progress.
• Collaborate in professional learning communities with teachers and support staff.
• Develop lessons aligned with district curriculum and assessment practices.
• Maintain fair grading and communicate progress to students and parents, including online grade systems.
• Integrate district-approved technology into planning, progress reporting, and IEP documentation.
• Establish and enforce positive classroom management and safety procedures.
• Participate in faculty and department meetings and support school programs.
• Monitor student well-being and intervene with administrators as needed.
• Engage in professional reflection to improve practice and meet growth goals.
• Follow board policies, district procedures, and updates; perform other duties as assigned.
