Job summary

Salary placement ranges from $17.27 to $20.47 per hour, depending on education and experience. The position requires an Associate’s degree or 60 college credits, CPR/First Aid, and prior experience with special education preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or two years’ college education (60 Semester Hours) or passing test results from the ParaPro or WorkKeys assessment is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must carry and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• CPI training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to reinforce skills taught by the teacher.
• Supervise and instruct children, including activities like copying, cutting, and bulletin board setup.
• Assist with student needs, including feeding, lifting, toileting and other learning activities as required.
• Attend workshops and training as directed and maintain safety within the classroom.

Education
