Responsibilities

• Consistent and punctual on-site attendance at the worksite.
• Work with small groups of students, as directed by the teacher, to reinforce directions or tutor.
• Listen to students read, and read to students.
• Help students with make-up work.
• Assist in individual or group activities, games, flash cards, computers, etc.
• Assist students in interpreting and following directions of teacher.
• Drills to reinforce skills taught by the teacher.
• Alert the teacher to needs of students.
• Assist teacher in checking progress of individualized study projects.
• Supervise lunchroom, playground, halls, classrooms and other activities.
• Reserve instructional media.
• Assist with the physical and health needs of the children.
• Do miscellaneous typing and filing.
• Inventory books, materials and equipment.
• Assist when emergencies arise.
• Perform other delegated responsibilities assigned by teacher or administrator.
