Job summary

Klamath County Transition Program is seeking a Paraprofessional to support a licensed teacher and help students achieve IEP goals. The role involves direct instruction, supervision, and data collection in a district setting.

You will assist in preparing materials, maintain records, and participate in ongoing CPI and safety training. This position emphasizes confidentiality and student safety in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of study at an institution of higher education with transcripts showing 48 credits or 72 credits, an Associate’s degree, or Praxis passing score.
• Must be highly qualified under paraprofessional standards.
• Ability to adhere to safety regulations and district policies, including bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to individual students and small groups to reinforce educational programs.
• Supervise students in classrooms, playgrounds, lunchrooms, and hallways.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain required records.
• Maintain data on student performance and progress toward IEP goals.
• Uphold confidentiality and ensure student safety.
• Participate in CPI, lifting/transfer, First Aid/CPR training.
