Freddie Mac is hiring Software Developer Interns to deliver technology solutions, modernize cloud capabilities, and improve delivery speed. interns will gain hands-on experience in Agile project work, application development, BI, data visualization, and emerging tech.

Interns are paid a set hourly rate of $32/hr. The program emphasizes collaboration, AI literacy, and exposure to risk management while supporting Freddie Mac’s mission during May–August 2027 and beyond.

Qualifications

• Introductory coding experience with Java, C/C++, Python, Angular/Spring Boot, or similar.
• Exposure to Agile, business tools, reporting, analytics, Tableau, or data visualization preferred.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with graduation 2027/2028; May–Aug 2027 availability.

Responsibilities

• Refine user stories, assess acceptance criteria, and support sprint work.
• Develop or enhance code, unit tests, automation scripts, dashboards, and reports.
• Assist with production support, root-cause analysis, releases, and bug resolution.
• Collaborate in an Agile team and communicate the business value of technical solutions.
