Job summary

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related DOI training. AED/CPR certifications may be required for PE teachers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Plan and use instructional strategies suitable for diverse learners.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in committees.
• Supervise extracurricular activities as assigned.
