Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat inpatients and outpatients with a variety of diagnoses. Inpatient focus includes swallowing dysfunction and bedside evaluations, MBS, and pediatric outpatient assessments.

The clinician will work with patients and families, document findings clearly, supervise ancillary staff, and collaborate with the director to plan patient assignments and program development.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Clear documentation and reporting of patient progress.
• Ability to work with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient evaluations, sets goals, plans treatment and discharge per ABESPA standards.
• Provides safe, timely treatments; involves staff and family as indicated.
• Supervises care by ancillary personnel.
