Performance Academies in Akron, OH seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support the communication, academic, and social success of students with speech and language needs. You will provide high-quality therapy, collaborate with educators and families, and ensure compliance with special education requirements while making a meaningful impact in the lives of children.

The role involves conducting evaluations, developing and monitoring IEPs, and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Valid Ohio SLP license and Ohio Pupil Services certification.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification is required.
• Knowledge of Ohio IDEA and school-based SLP practices.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills; data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students with IEPs using evidence-based practices.
• Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and assessments to identify student needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and progress reports; maintain required documentation.
• Coordinate referrals and participate in IAT, ETR, and IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.
• Foster positive relationships with students and families through ongoing communication.
