Job summary

ODMHSAS’s Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, OK is seeking a Forensic Officer I to join the security team at an inpatient behavioral health facility. You will patrol, inspect for hazards, enforce regulations, and assist staff to ensure safety and order.

Main duties include securing premises, monitoring cameras, moving consumers safely, and responding to emergencies. Shifts run 6:30am-3:00pm, 2:30pm-11:00pm, or 11:00pm-7:00am; hourly rate is $16.60.

Qualifications

• Level I- No experience or education is required.
• Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check.
• Willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel and have a valid driver’s license.
• Physical examination requirements include occasionally lifting 60 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and grounds for fire hazards and safety.
• Enforce laws, rules and regulations, and provide security against threats.
• Patrol assigned premises and assist staff with movement of consumers.
• Monitor security cameras and respond to medical emergencies or other unit calls.
• Transport consumers to appointments and off grounds if needed.
