Downingtown Area School District seeks a certified Secondary Special Education - Learning Support teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Downingtown High School West. This is a full-time, permanent contracted position with ASAP start date.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold PA certification for the position (Special Education PK-12 or PK-8/7-12 depending on assignment).
• Reading Specialist PK-12 certification preferred.
• Must meet all background and clearances as required by PA and federal programs.
• Proficiency with technology for instruction and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to special education students per IEP.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for individual needs.
• Collaborate with district staff and outside agencies as needed.
• Coordinate services for caseload as case manager; prepare essential documents (IEP, NOREP, etc.).
• Collect and communicate data; monitor progress for caseload students.
• Participate in Multidisciplinary team and IEP meetings.
• Provide staff development on dysability-related needs and interventions.
