NORTHWEST INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT LEGACY LEARNING CTR in Haslet, Texas is seeking a Secondary Special Education Teacher for the RISE program (24-25). This exempt, full-time position starts immediately and reports to the campus principal.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, Texas special education certification, ARD/IEP knowledge, and ability to collaborate with parents and staff to design effective instructional plans. Salary ranges from $63,343.60 to $83,774.20 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements.
• Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting.
• Ability to work effectively with school and community populations.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through the ARD process.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs for assigned students.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment.
• Modify regular curricula with classroom teachers as needed.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles to plan activities.
• Present subject matter according to IEP guidelines.
• Use technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Assist in supervision of teacher aides and volunteers.
