Job summary

Jasper County School District seeks a Secondary Principal (6-12) to lead instructional excellence and day-to-day operations for a grades 6–12 campus. The role emphasizes high student achievement, a safe and inclusive culture, and compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Educational Leadership or closely related field.
Valid South Carolina Principal certification or eligibility.
Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience with demonstrated effectiveness.
Prior leadership experience (Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead curriculum and instruction aligned with standards and district expectations for grades 6–12.
Monitor student achievement, attendance, course performance, and graduation data to guide decisions.
Develop and monitor the master schedule, course offerings, and graduation requirements.
Foster a safe, inclusive school culture with proactive discipline and MTSS/RTI supports.
Oversee staffing, evaluation, professional development, and family/community engagement.
