Job summary

Vassalboro Community School seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat students with communication disorders and support individualized education plans.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with CCC-SLP, Maine licensure, and CHRC clearance, and will collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to maximize student success within regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and CCC-SLP certification required.
• Valid state licensure in Maine as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Maine Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) required.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' communication skills to identify disorders and develop treatment recommendations.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, physicians and administrators to provide services per guidelines.
• Coordinate meetings for eligible students, present evaluation results, and develop IEPs and training.
• Develops and implements treatment plans and educational materials to minimize communication disorders within regulatory requirements.
• Instruct staff on communicative disorders, use of assistive devices and prescribed treatments.
• Provide speech and language therapy to students to improve communication and reduce adverse educational impact.
