Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services to students with communication disabilities to access the BPS curriculum and participate in school and community life. This Central Office role supports high expectations and equity across the district.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Teacher Certification in Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders.
• Massachusetts License in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by start date.
• Experience working in public schools with urban youth.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students referred for evaluation using appropriate testing instruments.
• Write reports reflecting results of standardized tests and observations with clear recommendations.
• Conduct evaluations within timelines established by state and federal regulations.
• Provide therapy and consultation services per individual needs and IEP/504 Plan.
• Deliver services in accordance with IEP or 504 Plan and participate in supporting teams and staff development.
