Job summary

Barnstable Public Schools is seeking a Speech, Language and Hearing Specialist to begin in the 26-27 school year. This permanent position requires Massachusetts certification in Speech, Language and Hearing Handicapped and a relevant degree.

The specialist will identify, diagnose and remediate speech and language difficulties, collaborate with educators and families, and participate in TEAM Evaluation Meetings while maintaining confidential student records under district policy.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts certification in Speech, Language and Hearing Handicapped is required.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Speech, Language, Hearing and related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose and remediate speech, language and hearing difficulties within the Barnstable School System.
• Participate in TEAM Evaluation Meetings and collaborate with educators and families.
• Maintain pupil records, prepare progress and final reports, and ensure confidentiality.
