Responsibilities

• Ability to implement and instruct established Grosse Pointe Curriculum.
• Include culturally diverse themes in lessons and instruction.
• Conducts assessments and evaluations with family and student rights.
• Collaborates with team members to address needs of school, student, families, and community.
• Promotes family support of learning within multicultural understanding.
• Provides services building on individual strengths and student learning participation.
• Maintains accurate case records and documentation.
• Keeps current on federal and state laws regarding disabilities, welfare, health, confidentiality, and student/parent rights.
• Organizes time, resources, energy, and workload to meet responsibilities.
• Uses research and technologies to assist students, families, schools, and communities.
• Prioritizes supporting students with disabilities within MTSS and conducts FBAs and BIPs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
