Job summary

The Vanguard School and Services is seeking a School Psychologist for a temporary assignment at our Malvern, PA campus. The role centers on evaluating and supporting students with special needs within a collaborative educational setting.

Responsibilities include conducting re-evaluations, providing evidence-based interventions, and supporting teachers and families. A PA Certification and licensure are required, with a Monday–Friday schedule during the 7:45 AM–3:30 PM workday.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working with special education students
• Ability to engage intellectually and physically in all components of the educational process
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with administrators, colleagues, students, parents, and others
• Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary

Responsibilities

• Conduct re-evaluations for student eligibility and prepare reports
• Provide evidence-based interventions for adolescents with social-emotional/behavioral challenges
• Consult with staff and parents to improve student functioning
• Participate in admissions interviews and pre-enrollment assessments
• Assist in planning parent education programs and school activities
• Support mental health crises during the school day
• Train faculty and staff in special education, developmental and clinical psychology areas
