The Connecticut Department of Correction’s Unified School District #1 is seeking a School Psychologist (Pupil Services Specialist) to provide educational diagnosis, counseling, and psychological services to incarcerated students across our facilities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and district staff, development of IEP goals, and delivery of individual and group counseling, with a 35-hour work week in a 12-month calendar.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in school psychology or related field required.
• Certification as school psychologist or eligibility for certification preferred.
• Experience in educational diagnostics and counseling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive school psychology services including educational diagnosis, counseling, and psychological assessments.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to plan educational programs.
• Develop and monitor IEP/ITP goals and interventions.
• Deliver individual and group counseling to students and document interventions.
