Job summary

Wilson County Schools in Wilson, North Carolina seeks a School Psychologist to join the Exceptional Children’s Services team. The role involves conducting evaluations, interpreting results, developing interventions and coordinating with educators, parents and outside agencies.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in School Psychology with endorsement eligibility, have experience in schools, and knowledge of IDEA, FERPA; PBIS/MTSS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in School Psychology required.
• Endorsement eligibility or certification as a School Psychologist preferred.
• Experience with school, clinic, or hospital settings.
• Knowledge of psychology theory, assessment, and test theory.

Responsibilities

• Serve on student support teams and committees across schools.
• Conduct individual evaluations to identify strengths and plan interventions.
• Select and interpret psycho-educational assessments.
• Analyze data and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Provide counseling to students individually and in groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to address student needs.
• Develop and implement prevention and early intervention programs.
