Job summary

The Laurel School District No. 7 seeks an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is 0.6 to 1.0 FTE, with salary range $43,675.00-$90,205.00 for 1.0 FTE and prorated by FTE.

Required are a master’s or doctoral degree in OT from ACOTE-accredited program and Montana OT licensure. The role involves supporting students with IEPs/504 plans and collaborating with school staff.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
• Montana state OT license in good standing.
• Experience evaluating students and aligning therapy with IEP/504 plans.
• Ability to work with children and adults in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' fine motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills.
• Create and implement therapy plans aligned with IEPs/504 Plans.
• Deliver one-on-one or small-group OT interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, SPED staff, counselors and families.
• Support sensory processing challenges to improve classroom participation.
• Track progress and adjust therapy strategies based on data.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA and Section 504 requirements.
• Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain accurate records.
