Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a Maryland license as an occupational therapist from the DHMH.
• Able to collaborate with school-based staff.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an itinerant therapist to students with a documented educational disability and as a consultant to teachers, parents, administrators, and others as appropriate.
• Participates in the development of IEPs/IFSPs/504s and provides occupational therapy services.
• Performs team approved screenings and evaluations; interprets test results and writes reports.
• Maintains accurate records and required special education forms; documents services.
• Provides therapy to students and consults with outside agencies and school staff.
• Supports ESY program activities and related duties as assigned.
