Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• First aid, CPR, bloodborne pathogen training and related trainings preferred within six months.
• Computer literacy in word processing, databases and spreadsheets expected.
• Health Assistant Licensure NM PED Level I required with NM DOH training for school health assistants.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nurse with school health program implementation.
• Provide delegated nursing services in the health room.
• Administer minor first aid as trained and directed by the nurse.
• Maintain student health records and health room cleanliness.
• Assist with medications and care for students with special needs as delegated.
