Job summary

Coatesville Area School District invites applications for a Guidance Counselor at Rainbow Elementary School. This full-time, permanent position includes a standard 7.5 hour day and a salary range of $59,400 to $103,806.

The counselor will support students with diverse learning needs and contribute to a positive school culture. Responsibilities include student orientation, records management, developmental counseling, referrals, and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or related field required.
• Valid PA School Counselor PK-12 Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Counsels individual and small groups of students with concerns.
• Guides educational, career, and social goals for students.
• Registers and orients new students, maintains records, protects confidentiality.
• Coordinates referrals to special programs and counseling services.
• Participates in testing programs and educational team meetings.
• Conferences with parents/guardians and staff to support students.
