Job summary

Marshall County Schools is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver in Benton, KY to operate a school bus on designated routes and maintain safety for students on daily trips and events.

The driver will perform daily inspections, assist loading/unloading handicapped students, follow schedules, report incidents, and communicate with school officials. A valid Kentucky CDL with passenger endorsement and School Bus Certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Kentucky Commercial Class B Drivers’ License with passenger endorsement.
• School Bus Certificate; must pass driving record check.
• High school diploma or GED plus one year driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus on designated routes according to schedules and regulations.
• Maintain student order and discipline while transporting.
• Inspect and maintain bus safety and cleanliness; report mechanical issues.
• Assist loading/unloading of handicapped students as needed.
• Record vehicle maintenance, miles driven and student transport data.
