Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid CDL.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus on designated routes according to schedules and laws for pupil transportation.
• Maintains bus in safe operating condition via daily inspections and reports any defects.
• Maintains order and discipline among students per district policies and communicates with parents and school officials.
• Performs emergency bus evacuation drills as required by regulations.
• Transports handicapped children and assists with wheelchairs when needed.
• Fuels and cleans interior and exterior of buses.
• Attends safety and preventive maintenance meetings as required.
• Performs first aid according to guidelines and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
