Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus over designated routes in accordance with time schedules and state regulations.
• Maintains bus in safe operating condition via daily inspections and reports defects.
• Maintains order and discipline among students per district policies and procedures.
• Performs emergency bus evacuation drills as required by regulations.
• Assists in loading/unloading handicapped students and secures wheelchairs as needed.
• Fuels and cleans exterior and interior of buses.
• Attends safety and preventive emergency meetings when required.
• Performs first aid according to guidelines and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
