Qualifications

  • Mississippi teaching certificate and a master’s degree in speech pathology.
  • Membership in the Mississippi Speech and Hearing Association and in the American Speech and Hearing Association is preferred, along with CCC-SLP and state certification preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Implements building/therapy schedules.
  • Establishes a referral/screening and evaluation system for speech/language services.
  • Performs and interprets diagnostic evaluations to determine eligibility.
  • Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the referral/diagnostic process.
  • Provides direct/indirect therapy for identified student.
  • Provides therapy through continuous evaluation and annual updating of individual education plan.
  • Be accountable for student status through charts, records, progress reports, etc.
