Job summary

Hannibal School District 60 Central Office in Hannibal, Missouri seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist or Assistant to implement treatment plans, establish pre-speech skills in sessions, and document progress in student case histories.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, attend IEP meetings, participate in staff development, and provide therapy in various settings, ensuring compliance with district policies and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (ASHA-approved for Master’s SLP) or equivalent plus 21 hours in speech/language areas.
• Must have 25 hours of SLP observation and 25 hours of clinical assisting or practicum.
• Eligible for state certification or DESE licensure as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Meet standards of competent teacher performance.
• Provide informal speech and language screenings for referred students.
• Serve on multidisciplinary evaluation teams when needed.
• Attend initial and annual IEP meetings and case reviews.
• Deliver direct and indirect therapy to address speech-language impairments.
• Utilize speech improvement or RTI approaches in service delivery.
• Maintain classroom management conducive to learning.
• Provide services in the least restrictive environment.
• Collaborate with parents and staff on intervention strategies.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and community.
• Follow district policies and perform assigned duties.
