Job summary

Success Matcher Recruitment is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a school-based role in Pell City, AL. You will help Pre-K to 12 students develop handwriting, sensory regulation, and functional skills to access education.

The role requires Alabama state licensure, NBCOT certification, and comfort traveling between school sites. This contract position offers flexible full-time or part-time hours with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
• Current Alabama State License from the Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy (ASBOT).
• National certification by NBCOT.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine student eligibility for OT services, focusing on fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop IEPs and 504 plans with measurable goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapy sessions (individual or small group) addressing handwriting, organizational skills, and sensory-motor coordination.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and assist in classroom environment modifications.
• Provide guidance to educators on modifying tasks to support students with diverse needs.
• Maintain progress notes, evaluation reports, and Medicaid billing logs per ALSDE regulations.
