Job summary

Cooke School and Institute is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide direct and indirect services to students within a collaborative educational model. The role requires interpreting assessments, planning individualized programs, and maintaining clear documentation for progress reports.

The OT will partner with classroom teachers, parents, and Cooke colleagues to foster successful inclusion and outcomes for students, attending planning and team meetings as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NY State OT license or credential.
• Ability to interpret assessments and determine appropriate levels of functioning.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with teachers, families, and Cooke staff.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect OT services to students.
• Interpret assessments to determine student needs and develop plans.
• Maintain ongoing communication with teachers and parents about progress.
• Attend planning meetings, team meetings, and CSE-related activities; prepare required documents.
