Job summary

AbleLight in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Sales Associate to provide fast, friendly service to customers and donors while maintaining a clean, well-organized store and donation process.

You will operate the cash register accurately, assist in stocking the sales floor, and help with donations, pricing, and donor receipts according to established guidelines. Flexible hours include days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly and stand for up to eight hours.
• Able to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operates cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Assists in stocking sales floor, stock rotation, displays and organization of merchandise.
• Responsible for answering telephone in professional manner.
• Sorts and prices merchandise according to quality and pricing guidelines.
• Transfers merchandise from donor vehicle to building and offers tax receipts to every donor.
• Keeps inside and outside of donation center and store organized and clean.
• Actively participates in fundraising for the AbleLight charity through round-ups at the register and other events.

Sales Associates are dedicated to providing fast, friendly service to our customers and donors.Associates have thorough knowledge of policies and procedures related to cash register operations and are capable of processing transactions quickly. Associates assist in production and donations, and work diligently to keep the store clean, safe and accessible to our customers.

What we want to see from you:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis (more occasionally) and stand on feet for up to eight hours.
• Able to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
