Job summary

AristaCare Health Services in Edison, NJ is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide therapy services to residents. The role requires an active PT license, an associate's degree, and ongoing professional development to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of associate's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
• Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy assistant services to residents in accordance with standards and procedures.
• Adhere to documentation and billing procedures for PTA services.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs.
• Conduct screening of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention.
• Conduct timely screening of residents referred to physical therapy to determine need for intervention and treatment.
• Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
• Conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
• Develop treatment plans with short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve them.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families, and the care team.
• Complete compliant and medically necessary CMS documentation in NetHealth EMR.
