Job summary

Esri seeks a software quality engineer in the United States (Colorado, Louisville) to ensure usability, quality, and functionality of ArcGIS, supporting realistic workflows and customer use cases.

You will work with cross-functional teams to define requirements, build robust software, and release high-quality capabilities, while providing best practices, user documentation, and technical assistance to customers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities.
• Professional experience supporting commercial software development.
• Demonstrated experience developing, executing, and interpreting automated, functional, regression, and performance tests.
• Enthusiasm for improving software capabilities for end users in real-world applications.
• Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product design, testing, documentation, and demonstration of new software capabilities.
• Research and analyze customer requests, industry standards, and specifications to help define requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers to build robust, high-quality software.
• Represent Esri by providing best practices, user documentation, and technical assistance for the product.
• Work within time/resource constraints in our agile software development lifecycle.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to identify product needs and partner with product management and software development teams.
