Clark County Government is seeking a Probation Officer - Adult to supervise and report on offenders placed on probation within the Adult Supervision Division. The role involves interviewing clients, preparing court-relevant reports, and coordinating treatment and restitution programs.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, state certification, and the ability to manage caseloads, conduct urinalysis testing, and testify in court.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree required.
State certification as probation officer.
Working knowledge of standard computer software and case management systems.
Ability to interview, investigate and work with clients to ensure completion of probation requirements.
Ability to handle emergencies and crises effectively.
Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal probation laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial evaluation of probationers via interviews and records review.
Maintain probation caseload for adults and prepare reports for the Court.
Supervise offenders and perform urinalysis testing.
Testify in Court and attend hearings as required.
Maintain and organize case files and documentation.
Coordinate with divisions and attend trainings as needed.
