Job summary

The Vines Hospital in Ocala, FL is seeking a PRN Recreation Therapist to join our Behavioral Health team. You will plan and lead recreation therapy activities, tailoring them to patients’ needs and goals, and assess patients within 72 hours of admission with daily progress notes.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy with CTRS certification, CPR/First Aid, and 2 years of psychiatric or long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy and CTRS certification required.
• Two years' experience providing Recreation Therapy in a psychiatric setting or Long Term Care setting preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications. Handle With Care training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate and lead recreation therapy activities tailored to patients' needs and capacities.
• Assess each patient within 72 hours of admission and complete daily progress notes on participation toward recreation goals.
