Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Physician to provide high-quality primary care within an institutional setting. The role involves conducting medical evaluations, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for incarcerated individuals.

Responsibilities include diagnosing a wide range of conditions, ordering tests, providing vaccinations, and maintaining compliant medical records aligned with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Current and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the state/jurisdiction and DEA.
Experience in primary care, preferably in correctional medicine or with underserved populations.

Responsibilities

Conduct medical evaluations, physical examinations, and medical histories for incarcerated individuals.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions.
