Medical University of South Carolina Health System in Florence, SC, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established, patient-centered primary care team. You will work with experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and staff to deliver high-quality care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting.

The role emphasizes building long-term patient relationships, managing acute and chronic conditions, and promoting overall health and wellness

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina as a PA or NP.
• Requires BLS certification.
• APRN or PA must maintain licenses, certifications, and CME requirements as required by policy and state law.
• DHEC and DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinical duties within a primary care team.
• Evaluates and treats patients based on history, exam, and tests.
• Initiates referrals and collaborates with attending or collaborating physician.
• Documents and bills for direct care provided.
• Potential to precept students and assist with training new team members.
