Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs in Minot, ND seeks a Certified Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care services within a Whole Health system for Veterans.

You will lead patient care planning, order and interpret labs, prescribe therapies, coordinate with the care team, and support women's health training once designated. Eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program.

Qualifications

• Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions.
• Develops and implements individualized plans to achieve optimal population health.
• Demonstrates leadership and collaborates with Primary Care Team and other interdisciplinary members.
• Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Must be a designated women's provider and complete VHA training.
• Eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) with program review and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Orders and interprets labs, tests, and diagnostic studies.
• Provides education to patients and their families.
• Initiates referrals and consults to specialty services.
• Manages a patient panel with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Works within a Whole Health System of care and collaborates with the care team.
• May travel to CBOCs or provide gap coverage as determined by the supervisor.
