Job summary

The Learning Experience #503 in Connecticut is seeking a Preschool Center Director with daycare or preschool leadership experience to lead operations, curriculum delivery, and family engagement. This role oversees health and safety, staff recruitment and coaching, budgeting, P&L, enrollment growth, and community outreach, while ensuring compliance with state licensing and high-quality early education.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field (highly preferred)
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
• Possess the state-specific Administrative or Director credential, as well as any other state-specific guidelines for the role

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees. Create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity.
• Ensure the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standard operating procedures, maintaining full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
• Build and maintain a highly qualified staff through sourcing, training, coaching, and engaging with current and prospective employees.
• Guide teachers in implementing the proprietary curriculum and drive a engaging learning experience for children.
• Drive consistent business results: family retention, enrollment growth, and efficient operations including AR/AP, monthly P&L, and payroll.
• Engage prospective families through center tours and community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.

Education
