Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a contract, full-time position in a school-based setting near Staten Island, NY. You will serve a PreK caseload of children ages 3 to 5, and collaborate with teachers to support early development during a structured 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM day.

The role focuses on core OT services, developing individualized goals, documenting progress, and educating families and staff.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in a school environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to PreK students ages 3-5, based on IEP goals.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
• Assess student needs and maintain thorough records of progress.
• Work directly within classroom settings and one-on-one as needed.
• Educate families and staff on strategies to support student growth.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning.
