Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher and graduate of ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Current NYS PA registration, license, and PA certification required.
• ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications preferred or required as listed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in collaboration with the physician and within agreed guidelines.
• Assess patients' needs and develop care plans with the physician.
• Provide health teaching, guidance and counseling to patients and families.
• Make appropriate referrals with physician concurrence.
• Perform complete physical exams using standard techniques.
• Order diagnostic tests in collaboration with the physician.
• Order medications in collaboration with physician.
• Coordinate with attending physicians for timely discharges and post-acute arrangements.
