Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients and deliver rehabilitation with care and compassion in the Physical Medicine and Rehab department in Rochester, NY. You will assess impairment, plan treatments, and communicate progress with the care team.

The role requires a Master’s in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor’s with experience, and a NYS license (or permit). Willingness to lead staff and coordinate coverage is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s degree with prior experience as a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Current New York State license or a limited permit as a Registered Physical Therapist.
• If license not held, hire within 90 days of graduation and meet NYS Practice Exemption requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and communicate progress to physician and team.
• Develop PT treatment plans including mobility training, manual therapy, exercises, and assistive devices.
• Lead, mentor, and coach department staff to ensure coverage and standards.
