Job summary

CHI St. Anthony Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing, enabling them to function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve quality of life in Pendleton, Oregon.

You will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide direct treatments. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and families is essential to meet patient care productivity standards and promote excellent customer

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited school.
  • Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Oregon.
  • AHA BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and assesses the patient’s abilities and limitations.
  • Establishes plan of treatment and goals with patient based on the referral and evaluation of functional skills; joint mobility; gait; muscle strength, tone, and coordination; sensation tests; and other measures to ensure rapid patient recovery. Plan for discharge is included in initial evaluation and are discussed and coordinated with the patient and physician.
  • Implements therapy or supervises therapy provided by LPTA, PT Aide, or PT Student according to the established plan, utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment and techniques within the scope of physical therapy.
  • Educates patient, family, or caregiver about goals of the program, methods to accomplish goals, home exercises/activities, and injury prevention.
  • Provides appropriate treatment documentation.
  • Re-evaluates patients, assesses their progress and makes recommendations regarding discharge.
