Job summary

Well Care Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and licensed physical therapist. The role provides individualized care for adolescents to geriatrics and participates in program development and performance improvement initiatives.

The PTA will administer prescribed treatments, document patient progress, and contribute to department operations while maintaining a focus on patient satisfaction and agency values.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• Licensure: Licensure in the state (NC/SC) and CPR certification.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months in a physical therapy setting.
• Technical/Motor: Knowledge of PT procedures and safe handling with devices; transfer/guard patients.
• Interpersonal/Mental: Professional communication with patients, families, physicians; strong reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed physical therapy treatments to patients across all life stages.
• Contributes to program development and discipline-specific operations.
• Communicates and documents in line with agency policies and guidelines.
• Maintains schedule and supports agency performance and effectiveness.
• Demonstrates mission, values and positive interpersonal relations daily.
