Job summary

The Security Executive Council is seeking a Corporate Security & Compliance Manager to own the physical security program across our Houston HQ and field sites. You will manage access control, visitor management, surveillance, and secure storage while aligning with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 requirements.

You will travel ~30% to sites, lead policy development, and coordinate with vendors and law enforcement to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of physical/corporate security or related compliance role.
• Experience with GRC platforms (Drata, Vanta, OneTrust) to collect control evidence.
• Working knowledge of SOC 2 and ISO 27001, including physical and environmental security and access control.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills for audit-ready evidence.

Responsibilities

• Own the physical security program end to end across Houston HQ and field sites.
• Administer facility access controls and least-privilege access management.
• Run visitor management, escorting, and logging of visitors.
• Maintain monitoring and surveillance to deter and detect unauthorized access.
• Review physical access periodically and implement changes.
• Oversee secure storage of sensitive media and assets.
• Develop and maintain physical security policies as sites grow.
• Plan site visits and security assessments to identify gaps and drive remediation.
• Coordinate with leadership, vendors, and law enforcement to mitigate risks.
• Develop site security plans and incident response procedures for protests or threats.
• Collect audit evidence for the GRC platform and support SOC 2/ISO audits.
• Manage physical security vendors and contractors, ensuring standards.
• Respond to incidents and collaborate with CISO on security program components.
