Job summary

ACCESS - Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services in Dearborn, MI seeks a Peer Recovery Coach to support clients with recovery and access to services. You will engage clients, develop individualized plans, and coordinate referrals to promote recovery and self-sufficiency.

The role requires lived experience in recovery, strong communication, and ability to work with diverse populations. Some evenings/weekends may be required in a climate of sensitivity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of experience working in social services or equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.
• Actively in recovery with 3–5 years lived experience in the field or other lived experience approved by Human Resources.
• Background check must show candidate is fully off probation/parole for a minimum of two years before date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engage and enroll clients in intervention and support services.
• Develop a person-centered, individualized plan of service for each client and monitor progress toward goals.
• Advise and advocate for clients with internal and external resources.
• Coordinate delivery of benefits and services from referrals to ensure participation.
• Provide peer coaching in one-on-one or group settings to improve functioning and community integration.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with funding guidelines.
