Job summary

Required education is High School Diploma or GED, with credential options including PCT/CNA/EMT/LPN or equivalent Michigan certification. Preference given to familiarity with medical terminology and Windows proficiency; BLS is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the Registered Nurse, prioritizes and organizes care of assigned patients and performs basic nurse's aide skills.
• Documents treatments and observations in patient charts and reports to the team.
• Maintains a clean, safe and orderly unit.
• Provides for the age-specific needs of the patient population.
• Performs according to procedure in all hospital emergency situations.
• Ensures a safe and secure environment for patients and demonstrates professionalism.
