Job summary

The Osceola School District in Osceola, Arkansas is seeking a Part-time School Registered Nurse (RN) to provide health assessments, screenings, and nursing care for students. The RN will guide health services, coordinate with families, and support the district's health programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science area, with coursework in growth and development, health assessment, public or school health.
• Master’s degree in related field preferred.
• Must meet qualifications of a school nurse as defined in state regulations.
• Successful experiences working with pediatric population, preferably in a community or school setting desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care providers, students and families to ensure access and continuity of care.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive school health program.
• Maintain accurate health records in accordance with state and district policies.
• Conduct immunization programs, physical examinations, and vision/hearing testing.
• Create and update individualized health care plans (ICHP) for students as needed.
