Job summary

UW–Madison School of Nursing invites applications for Clinical Faculty to teach didactic and experiential courses across DNP, baccalaureate, and potentially PhD programs. The role focuses on preparing students for professional nursing careers with a strong emphasis on didactic and clinical instruction.

We seek candidates with teaching experience in nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification, and a commitment to equity and excellence in education.

Qualifications

• One or more years of teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate levels in nursing or professional staff development across healthcare settings.
• One or more years of professional experience and certification as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care.

Responsibilities

• Teach in DNP, baccalaureate, or PhD programs according to school needs.
• Ensure students meet expected clinical hours when teaching clinical courses.
• Use active learning, simulated learning, and clinical experiences in instruction.
• Collaborate on curriculum and course planning at graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Participate in School meetings, faculty development, and mission-driven activities.
• Contribute to scholarly activities and academic-practice partnerships to enhance student learning.
• Support a climate of excellence within the School of Nursing.
